Press Release -The Work Club restarts in Penwortham & Kingsfold

The Work Club restarts in Penwortham/Kingsfold after a successful start in the Autumn Term.

The Work Club is where jobseekers can get advice and support on finding work. It restarted on 12th January 2012.

The Work Club will give people in the area the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts, share job hunting experiences and get advice on interview techniques, CVs and even volunteering opportunities.

Mark Willett from King’s Church who set up The Work Club said:”Research shows that the best way to find a job is through friends, family or social networks, which is why it is so vital to have a Work Club in this area”

“We have put together a range of activities and resources that will help people look for work, together with access to IT equipment to help with job searches.”

Working with Grassroots Design, the Club has developed an innovative website including a members home page that is updated with all the latest job hunting links.

The Work Club will meet on Thursday 12th January and then every week during term times, at Penwortham Community Centre on Kingsfold Drive. The session starts 10.00am to 12.30pm.
