The Work Club in partnership with Lancashire Adult College and Penwortham Town Council is launching a 10 week Course – Award in Supporting a Child’s learning and Development. the Course is for parents who would like to gain an understanding of how children learn and develop. It is particularly suitable for parents of pre-school and primary school age children, and /or for those parents with an interest in working with children as a volunteer or in paid employment. Jeannette Brambles our CAP Job Coach and Trainer commented ” I did the course myself , its given me a great insight on how I can help my own grand children at school , and I thought it would be great to have the course for our residents in Penwortham/Kingsfold and surrounding areas. If you give me a ring on 07930874433 I can provide you more information and how the enrol.

Mark Willett CAP Job Manager said ” we shall be running the course is a side room  next to the CAP Job Club and participants can use the facilities of the Club between 12.00-1.00pm. Also those who would like to stay on in the afternoon we have access to our “Journey to Work Course”  and refreshments will be provided over lunchtime. This is a new venture , but one that the team is really excited about, we are really pleased that alongside our free Job Club we can offer further free courses that help people  to get paid employment or volunteering opportunities.”
