The Work Club gears up to support job seekers who want to use the DWP new Universal Jobmatch programme due to be launched later this Autumn

The Work Club will be gearing up to support job seekers who wish to use DWP Universal Jobmatch programme to be launched later this autumn.

Mark Willett The Work Club Co-ordinator “A new Jobcentre Plus web-based job posting and matching service – Universal Jobmatch — is to be launched in autumn. Universal Jobmatch will be one of the UK’s largest jobsites and will automatically match a jobseeker’s CV and skills to jobs that suit their needs. To make use of the new service jobseekers will need to register with the online service and provide an email address. They may be invited by employers to apply for jobs via an online application.”

“The Work Club already helps members apply for an email address , and we have an on line services at our Thursday meetings which can be used  to access the service, we will be offering one to one and group sessions to help job seekers access the service and improve their chance to get a job”

“The Work Club Team welcome the new  which  initiative has the advantage that jobseekers can tailor their job search preferences to suit the jobs they are looking for, and they can receive ongoing job matches and email alerts. There will also be a ‘help and support function’ and a feedback service for users.

Mark Willett concludes ” don’t wait for the new service to start why not come along to a Work Club and start the road back to a job”
