The Work Club celebrates its first year as a charity working with local residents who are seeking employment.

The Work Club has now been existence for 12 months and has helped many residents to make their first steps back to work.

Mark Willett the founder and co-ordinator said

” we are so pleased that we have made this important milestone, working with our partners we have developed a sustainable charitable  model that has helped so many back into work and training. We have some talented volunteers who come each week and bring their skills and experience which make a real difference to those attending. To coincide  with our first anniversary we are launching our afternoon workshops ( see previous news item for details ) We have remained committed to core values to provide a quality Church based service response,  –  providing a place to meet, exchange skills, share experiences, find opportunities and seek support to return to work.

We will be looking to develop our volunteer base and activities over the next 12 months. If you want to find out more about The Work Club please send an email through the web site and we will get back to you.”
