Another chance to get work-ready

Members of King’s Church in Penwortham, who have been trained by UK charity Christians Against Poverty, are again running the course aimed at helping the local community to best handle the challenges of re-entering the job market.

Job Club Manager Mark Willett, who will be leading the CAP Job Club sessions, said: “When it comes to job hunting, having the right tools and techniques up your sleeve can really improve your chances in finding work. We provide a personal service which gives people both practical and emotional support.”

CAP Job Clubs works with individuals to meet their personal needs. Sessions cover practical topics such as identifying strengths, CV writing and interview techniques.

He added: “With some improvement in the local labour market , we hope to help people gain the confidence and skills they need to get back into work again.”
