(Mark Willett King’s Church CAP Job Club Manager)

King’s Church started a church based work club for Penwortham in October 2011 , but in April 2013 it partnered with CAP to become Lancashire’s first CAP Job Club and one of 25 in UK. Today there are over 160 Job Clubs across the UK. Penwortham together with a Job Club in Belfast are the longest running Job Clubs in the UK celebrating 5 years of partnership with CAP.

Mark Willett is also the longest running CAP Job Club Manager in UK celebrating 5 years leading the work. Mark commented ” its been an amazing 5 years and has been such a privilege to serve the local church, CAP and the local community. We have seen over 190 people come through our doors since we partnered with CAP and since 2011 over 280 access our services. We have a great team of volunteers who give of their time freely to help people make those steps back to work”

“We  have developed some great relationships with local organisations including LCC Libraries, Job Centre Plus, Progress Housing, Food Bank,  Penwortham and South Ribble Councils, and many more. We have been so grateful from the support from King’s Church Leadership and members, Local Councillors, Council staff and from local churches and other third sector organisations. “
