Congratulations to our volunteer Job Coach Maurice Perry

Congratulations to Maurice our volunteer CAP Job Coach who has just secured a P/T job as a caretaker , Maurice began to attend the Club when he  made redundant and has been volunteering for over 12 months. He applied for lots of jobs, and attended out Steps to Employment and Employability Courses, Mock Interviews, dress for success days, did everything to get back to work, never gave up trying.

Maurice writes

“What a difference a day makes, whilst shopping today I got a phone call from the school asking me if I was still interested in the job ?? I said yes I was still interested ??  the job is yours if you still want it….Oh Bless You YES I still want it was the reply. I was then invited to go to the school and pick up some forms to fill in to start the DBS process……….Praise God, a result. Have you ever seen Charlie & the chocolate factory? I know how Charlie felt after having several disappointments opening chocolate bars, then disappointment turned to joy when he opened a chocolate bar to see he had won a golden ticket. Y……….E………..S…..S…S..S.S    Nearly ran around Sainsburys, ” I’ve got the golden ticket” The morning hours will be 7.0 to 9.0 which, Praise God, still makes me available to carry on as a CAP  as  a Job Coach , Thanks again for your prayers, support and encouragement.”

If you are struggling to get back to work why don’t you come on our next free Steps to Employment Course commencing Thursday 8th May 1.30-3.00pm. Leave you name and details on and we will get back to with enrolment details.
